Tele project for later

With inspiration from @unix-guy and @scottp I am going to build a traditional tele with a figured top. I'm going to let this one dry out a while. It's a 4lb thinline.

Yes a dyed top for sure. Haven't decided on a color yet though. It needs an In-tune Gotoh bridge like you used recently.

My tele is about to be a husk - having a body (allparts or musikraft tbd) finished in NY then will assemble and set up here using the parts i ready had. Wasnt planning on it but hey.

It would probably look good naked - maybe just some oil or a hand-rubbed varnish, like this one I did (my first strip/refinish):



Although a nice purple stain would be very nice!

I had considered purple. I haven't tried that yet.

Those bridges are cool. And the knobs are awesome!

I use the bent square metal plates for my teles for the wireless plugs.

I see. The new body looks to have a flat surface that world be perfect for the Electro Socket jack.
But I understand needing room the a wireless unit.

It is drilled 7/8 for those jacks. And I really like them. But the square ones work ok there too.
