Synergy Syn20ir and VP4 in 4CM

I wondered if anyone has had experience with the VP4 and the SYN20ir using 4CM?

I did a search and couldn’t find this information.

If so, any problems with ground loops? I know some amps can be problematic in 4CM and I don’t want to pull the trigger without some foreknowledge about this particular use case 😀

Likewise super easy.

I use mine after the Synergy, analog drives in front of the Synergy.

Works great I use the VP4 IR player, more flexibility than the Synergy and gives me stereo. And then three pitch and delay effects.

Sounds amazing, I have tried 4CM but like stereo delays

I did this initially when I had the Synergy unit. I had a lot of noise and hiss. However, my unit did have an FX loop issue and I had to return it with no replacement or repair at the time as these were pretty scarce. I believe this was last year around Feb/March. I was really hoping it would work out for me but in the end, I just moved to something else that I am still very happy with today and use all of the the time.

Either way, sounds like others are having solid luck with theirs, so all good! Synergy makes some neat gear!

Well thanks to all the positive replies here! Sorry I’ve not checked in sooner but things took a different course.

I decided to go for a new REVV G50 which sounded good on paper but arrived with non-functioning switches, so back it went with major resistance from the retailer.

So, I ordered another - there were only two G50s in the country at the time - one was broken and the other was the promptly lost during shipping by a certain UK courier!

At this point, I was pretty fed up and in the end went back to my favourite amp maker, Friedman.

Much happier…and I decided to eschew 4CM as I wanted stereo post effects which I could now do by running a VP4 after a Suhr RL.

All controlled via an MC8 PRO. Lots of (stressful) first world problems but it’s worked out in the end!
