Strymon midi compatibility - Big Sky

No stranger to midi but I can't get the FM9 to connect with the Strymon Big Sky MX. I recently sold a cloudburst which would read midi from the FM9 (but nothing else due to all my other midi pedals not being tip active) but I can't even get the new Big Sky to switch on/off, even when directly connected to just the FM9. I've tested cables that I know work with a Timeline and Mobius. Has anyone got a Big Sky MX in their rig that they are controlling with the FM9? Thanks!
 
I have no experience with the Strymon, but what exactly are you trying to send to it, and what have you configured?

Are you using Control Switch Midi or Scene Midi block?

Have you set the midi channel on the Strymon?

Have you set the FM9 to send on that channel?

How are you connecting from the FM9 to the Strymon to send the midi?
