SPDIF coaxial/RCA switcher for multiple Axe units

Looking for an RCA-type SPDIF switcher box to toggle between three different Axe-Fx units connected to my main audio interface. The only ones I can seem to find that are specifically for SPDIF coaxial/RCA connections (everything else seems to be optical/Toslink) are a couple made by Inday, and they are significantly more expensive than other types of switchers I'm seeing.

Not exactly sure what the RS232 option does on this second one:

I've read some discussions in other forums about this, and there seem to be differing opinions about what is required for an effective switcher of this type. Some are saying that a passive mechanical switcher should be used instead of an electronic one, because an electronic one may/will introduce high frequency noise into the signal. Some are saying any simple switcher with RCA connectors will work, regardless of whether it's marketed for analog or digital/SPDIF audio, while others are saying that analog and digital cables use different kinds of shielding, and therefore a switcher needs to be internally shielded properly for a digital/SPDIF signal.

I thought this would be a simple purchase, but now I don't know what to think. I don't want add anything to - or lose anything from - the signal. Don't want any cross-talk / bleed-through / jitter / word clock error / whatever-the-hell can degrade it.

Thoughts? Recommendations?
