simulating feedback without pitch effects

hi :)

my axe is in the studio so i cant test it .. but would it be possible to do some natural feedback by simulating the real world behaviour of feedbacks ?

what i mean:
- set up your normal guitar rig (with cab sim)
- at the end place a feedback send
- at the beginning place a feedback return.
- frequence correct and maybe add a short 100% wet delay
- feed it back to the input

i know in real world its more or less only the string getting pushed by the loud volumes and not the microphonic PUs but .. i dont know ;) let me hear how we can produce a nice real sounding feedback effect ;)

I have been wondering the same thing myself. I would love it if anyone had any ideas on this.

There however a couple of attempts at increasing the sustain, feedback im not so sure about.
Check out infinite sustain threads they are a great starting point.

Yes lookup the "infinite sustain/ebow" threads if you haven't already. In particular the Harmonic Feedback sim from Bakerman. Or the ebow patch from Java Junkie.
