Should I trade for a Yamaha MSP5?

Hey guys,

Someone offered to trade his Yamaha MSP5 powered monitors with my TC electronic G major. I wonder if it's a wise choice because I'm currently interested to get the Rokit RP5. I have never own a studio monitors and have no idea which will be better for Axe Fx. Anyone using MSP5 can share your experience with me. Thanks!
 
I like my MSP5s a lot, hi-freqs can sound a little bit aggressive but it's really a matter of taste.
IMO it's a no-brainer, if you dislike the set of MSP5, you'll be able to sell them for higher than the G-Major.
 
Cool. Haha. I think I will trade it. I guess agressive hi-freqs will be alright for me. Hope it's not those harsh type. :)
 
I had the MSP5's a few years ago. They're pretty good for the price but the highs can get a bit harsh (not at all terrible though).
I agree with BrianCarroll that the trade would be a good one.
Hmm... now that two comments mention the high frequency response, I bet it's going to stick in the back of your head and amplify what you hear from the speakers. Don't linger on it. Those are good speakers :)
