Red Sound FRFR Speakers now in the Fractal Audio Online Store!

The Red Sound speaker descriptions need revision.

The Active page says "The Red Sound ELIS.8 Passive is a NON-powered FRFR..."

Some issues to address:
  • What are the specs ?
  • What's the difference between Active and Active Pro ?
  • The stereo config isn't just two mono speakers -- how does that work ?
  • Are the active speakers biamped ?

This is very cool that we can now get these a little easier here in the U.S.
This also feels like a little bit of a Fractal endorsement for the products. :)
 
I had a problem with my RS Elis 8 Speakers muting off randomly (Sometimes L sometimes R usually R). I asked FAS to ship me a cable to connect them and they advised me I can buy it directly from their RS dealer. I was shocked to find duties were priced so high as was shipping. Additional, future concern with what is happening in the USA with Tariffs being placed on products coming into Canada. I can't imagine what it would cost to send my RS Elis 8's back for repair in the future with these types of taxes, duties, and upcoming Tariffs. But alas, it's a concern for another time. :)

In the end it was all worth it. Got the cable in a week or so in terms of delivery. It's been 3 weeks now and I'm enjoying the beautiful sound of my RS Elis 8's in full action! Seems like they're 100% again. I only hope they will serve me well into the next 20 years. I'd hate to give them up!
