Hello I need your help please
Firstly sorry for my english...
My sound card is Presonus firebox, I want to connect spdif to Axe.
But the in and out (spdif and midi) are female and the Axe too.
Maybe the solution can be adaptors to male?
Thank you so much for your help.

Am I missing something here? What you need is cables to connect the two.
A normal MIDI cable has two male connectors so a female connector on either end is exactly what you need.
Same thing for S/PDIF
I fail to see what your problem is.

Pardon, I explained myself bad. " Midi and spdif IO can be connected to this DB-9 connector breakout cable.

out of soundcard.

The other end of the cable female just as the entrances of axe.

Connectors male conversion ??? Is the solution ??

Thanks.

Okay, I've lookd up the details on the firebox.
The firebox is quite small and there's no room for a couple of DIN and RCA connectors so they are on a breakout cable.
The intention of this cable is not to connect directly to an external device like the Axe-Fx.
It is only to provide the connectors that would have been on the back panel of the firebox if it had been larger.

Just use standard MIDI and S/PDIF cables to connect the two and you'll be fine.

If you have the firebox very close to the Axe-Fx you might be able to hook the S/PDIF connections up directly with something like this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_sssnake_1827_adapter.htm
I have not found anything similar for MIDI.

Something like this should do the trick though: http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_sssnake_sk366-03-blk_midi_kabel.htm

Thousand thanks for your time. :)
