Power shutdown

Is it safe practice to use a surge protector/power strip/power conditioner to cut power to the Axe FXIII? I know that most devices with a rocker power switch don't have any microprocessor shutdown events (though some do I am sure) that would not be able to run if you cut power externally, but I want to make sure before I adopt this method. I do not have any speakers attached to this power supply, so there will be no pops for anything like that.

Totally safe. No difference whatsoever to flipping the front panel switch. Both break the AC Mains connection to the power supply.
