Output level for XR18

What would you set the output level when going into an XR18 live?

+4 or -10?

At home I use an XR18 and have OUT1 at max, Channel gain at 0 and set preset levels for -12dB.

At the gig using another XR18 I have to turn OUT1 down to 12-1 o'clock.

we also run an XR18 , i'm at +4 // out1 at MAX

no extra input gain added on the XR18, maybe that other XR18 has gain added on that input

+4 here too. but i believe i have some input gain on the xr18 to get my signal averaging -18dBfs on the xr18.

Having mixed for the band before I played for it the gain levels have been all over the place. I'll keep it at +4 and bring my iPad and see what the heck the sound guy has it set to. I've turned down and am way down in the mix.

yeah i think there's definitely some settings that have been changed on the other xr18

we use the XR18 for our IEM mix , so no one else has access =) , good luck
