[RESOLVED] Need a little help re-loading presets to XL+ running Quantum 8.02

A friend just bought a used XL+, running Q8.02. The previous owner erased all presets. He tried the Utility Restore option and got nada. He is trying to re-load the presets and then he wants to upgrade the firmware to last version of Quantum. FractalBot versions 1.2.7 and 2.11.1 are showing him no love. He either gets an error message or he doesn't get the green check marks on the input/output boxes.

He has done the basic troubleshooting (driver, USB 2.0 cable, powered on, etc). Are we missing anything?

Maybe he has to update to the latest FW first and then get the presets from the Fractal site and load them in with Fractalbot?
