Multiband compressor for hdmi

Hi,
Does anyone here know a way to multiband compress hdmi audio between a tv box and tv screen? Without modifying the video stream of course.

Maybe an HDMI audio extractor into a separate compressor and then on to the amp.
My Yamaha home entertainment amp could do this by itself. It has PRE outs and power amp ins. I could insert an Axe-Fx!

Have no amp, just wanna the audio sent back to tv
And extractor/comp/injector path seems too much and not stupid simple enough
