Midi captain blocks on/off question

Hi! I am using midi captain to switch my effects (blocks) on/off. It works pretty well, but I have all my buttons "on" on a startup when I power on midi captain. I need to manually set them all to "off" before use, and it is annoying. Can anyone help? I use supermode.

This is a side effect of the controller not knowing the current state of things in the Fractal unit. More advanced controllers use sysex messages to poll things like block state, current preset, current scene, etc. so it can stay fully in sync. The MIDI Captain does not support that. Anytime you change presets or scenes, the current state of the various switches may get out of sync.

Thanks for the reply! I already accepted the situation with no bi-directional work of midi captain... But in my case I would be happy if it simply power on and all buttons were "off". My main operations are on 3 buttons of fm3 (scenes). I need only to turn on some blocks by midicaptain and it works ok. But there`s something going on with start-up settings of midi captain - it is always "on" on startup. I need manually set it off, tap-tap, tap tap.. Annoying. Maybe there is other start-up settings in midi-captain? Because I can't find any parameter in my page.txt to control it.

I’m currently testing the completed control-only version. I’ll share it soon, but it requires installation, so I’m throwing together a guide as well. I’m currently working on the two-way communication; since the FM3 doesn't send status reports automatically, Sysex requests are necessary. Querying preset, scene, and effect states is already working, which should basically be enough.
