Anyone happen to know what type of truss rod is in a made in China Epiphone?
I did some research and have found conflicting information. Some say it’s a standard truss rod, lefty loosy, righty tightly. Some say, from experience, it’s the reverse (lefty tightly, etc.) of a standard truss rod. I also read on another forum, that an Epiphone tech. replied to someone that asked the question and they said it was a double action truss rod.
I can’t seem to get a relief of 0.010”, which is usually typical. I’ve tried turning the nut both ways, without much success. If I turn it left, which should give me more relief, the nut seems to become loose but the neck doesn’t seem to be bowing enough. If I tighten it, the neck does seem to bow back. Based on that, it should be a standard truss rod.
Starting to wonder if it’s even working properly.
Thanks
