So in my rush to load .213 i sent over the file via Snoize ( midisport Uno 2X2 )....but forgot to change from "adaptor" mode to "midi" It failed at 50%. Soize fails now everytime at 50%.
I thought I might do a master reset ( hold down IA 11 ) but the MFC gives me error 14 on power up . So no go on that.

It will however go into update mode. So, I grabbed a windows box and midi ox and started plating around with delay. Tried everything from 40ms to 110ms. I can get to 97%.....but then error 18. Will this work if the unit is in adaptor mode? Remeber I cannot get into the menus do to error 14 on power up.

Help, gig coming up. Am i borked ?

I guess you got everything covered but check cobblers step by step updating guide.
i havent updated MFC yet but last time I also remembered that i got error 14, 18 and god knows what. And then all of a sudden, it worked

deep breath, have a beer, take it slow, try again ;)

Beeeeer, lol

What I need to know before i flash into oblivion is WILL it akes midi when the unit is in ADAPTOR mode. I cannot change to midi.

Teddis - updating the MFC, in my experience, has always been a challenge. Error 14 is my nemesis! This time around it only took me 3 times, using Snoize, 2x2 midimate, and the ac adapter. I held down IA 1 on start up and brought the buffer down to 52 in snoize, hit play, and sipped on a beer wearing my lucky under pants, a rally cap, and tried to not move. Hoping the right mojo would keep Error 14 away!

Updating 2.11 took about 60 tries and lots of screaming but eventually it worked. I tried both the axe, a windows machine with midiox, my mac using snoize, different midi cables, incense, everything!! I guess its part of the fun! So keep trying it and eventually it will work!! Good luck!

Hi Elchampion,
I am new to Snoize. I do not see any parameter controls....where do you change the buffer time ? Question is....will it work in ADAPTOR mode, which is what mine is in, and I cannot change it.
Thx !

By adaptor mode do you mean plugging in the ac adaptor? Updating the MFC is the only time I use mine. When you open up Snoize go to the top left corner next to the apple and open up preferences. Sorry not in front of my mac right now, but that's where you find the sliders to adjust the buffers, which I found to be around 52, but it could be different for you. I would just sit there and play with it until it works. I hope in the future they find a more reliable way of updating the MFC.
