Lead tine from Queensryche Operation Mindcrime Album

Does anyone have a preset that nails that lead tone? To me it has this awesome tone to it, somewhat metallic but not overly compressed. The midrange frequencies are perfect for a project I am working on.

I believe he was using a rackmount preamp, so use the one in the Axe II. Experiment with the power section choices...stick with 6L6 types. Goose it with a boost, and use an PEQ to tweak the freq's.

I would have to probably say DeGarmo, I always seem to dig his stuff the most.
