I have asked after this one for years but I would love to have a model of this one, or even the guidance on how to recreate it with what we have.
I had one many moons ago, some say it was a one trick pony and in some ways it kinda was. It was essentially a single channel but had a great clean and great gain, it just wasnt easy to switch between the two. The clean, to mehad this cool dimensional quality to it, and could be very clean with good headroom, and the gain channel, well... Sabbath Live Reuinion album all the way.
Usually, when I discuss this amp in the forums and ask people on tips on how to mimic the tone, people often say to start with a Marshall but i dont find Marshalls to do it, I think its an upper mid thing that Marshalls have and this Laney doesnt, as well as the Laney having a bigger but tighter bottom.
This is a really cool amp and does the Iommi thing in spades.
