Wish Klon as amp boost

I wonder whether i'm the only one missing a klon as amp boost(instead of the drive block)? the most common application of a klon is low gain/high level/tone a bit more than mid-day; seems like a good candidate to be a boost type (instead of requiring a drive block for it). I guess it's just a quality-of-life wish.

Anyone else finding that the klon has a lot of gain when drive is set to 0?

I've never been able to use it as a clean boost. Too gainy.

Set the graphic eq for a 2-3db cut on all bands and set to pre. It works like an input trim. It’s still a little gainy but I like it. You can trim as much as you like but I settled on -2db.
