Hey everybody,

My name is Ben
This is a guitar tone/preset/patch for:
John Petrucci - Suspended Animation( his solo instrumental album)
It's me trying to copy his Rhythm Guitar Tone

Please let me know what you think about the tone.
Your opinions, like how much my playing sucks, the tone sucks... etc.......are more than welcome
I would love some feedback on this

i think it sounds really good it jus needs to be thicker and lower the gain a hair or maybe half a hair

I've been having problems with people being unable to load some of the presets/patches I've created.

So:

Here is a way to fix your problem. This is directly from a person who had requested a few presets/patches of mine.

" I used Bome's SendSX and the patches worked perfectly. I had to use Bome's for the November update as well. I guess Axe-Edit is still in beta and as some problems. "

Please note that:
I am using an Axe FX Ultra, with the latest version of Axe Edit( version 0.9.185 ), and the latest Firmware ( version 10.03).
ALL OF THESE TONES/SOUND CLIPS, HAVE BEEN RECORDED DIRECT
They might sound a little different if your using them live.

Hello,

This is Ben, the original poster of this topic in the forums.

I had a reply stating that this needed a little tweaking.

A person who requested this patch replied that they couldn't get quite get the single note tone , from the opening part of "Jaws of Life" from Suspended Animation", to sound right. They asked if I could try and help them, and send a reply.

Ive been able to tweak this tone, and think I've pretty much nailed it. In my opinion it's far better than the original tone. I am able to get the single note sound from "Jaws of Life", as well as the heavy fuzz style of "Damage Control", and "Curve".

I have added the patches I'm currently using to replicate John Petrucci's tones.
2 rhythm presets, one Suspended Animation, and the other is a Dream Theater sounding patch.
1 solo patch, which I am using to replicate his solo tone on top of both of these patches.

Sound clips can be made if you would like.

Thanks to all of those who thought the first preset was great.
Trust me, these will blow the first one out of the water.

nice work! especially using a JS1000, I never got this close to his tone (using my JS1000) until I actually baught my JP6
