jeff beck goodbye pork pie hat from the Wired CD

I love this song and the way he plays on the album but i was never able to nail down the sound. in the impro section, there is some pretty distorded sounds, but it does not sound like a regular everdrive, and in the end the sound is really weird, with no attack ... i read once that he used a ring modulator ... any ideas ?

ps : I know that most of his sounds comes from his fingers, but still ... there' something else.
