Hi all. Here's a quick video using a '53 Les Paul and my new FM9. The blocks are Bender Fuzz, Octaver (pitch block), 1970 100 Watt PLEXI, Legacy 4x12 Basketweave G12M25, plate verb.
I recently discovered the 53 Goldtop is essentially the same guitar as Jeff's highly modified 'Oxblood' Les Paul. The neck is absolutely huge and the frets are low, skinny and really difficult to play. I strung the guitar with 8-38's and could barely wrap my slightly wonky fingers around. It's got a great sound for sure, just a really challenging guitar to play for someone with crooked fingers.
