If you're looking for a QSC K12, keep an eye on ebay

I pounced on a pair of new "demo" K12's from a NY dealer yesterday ... $625 each (compared to the $799 advertised elsewhere on ebay, Musician's Friend, Guitar Center, etc.).

They offered me new factory sealed ones for $647 each, which I bought instead. They shipped them yesterday afternoon and they will be here today. Free ground shipping.

QSC must do MAP (minimum advertised pricing), so it's definitely possible to get them considerably cheaper ... word to the wise.

These are some killer speakers for $650!

Is it the same finish (that chips off) as the HPR series ?

They are that hard plastic finish. I don't have an HPR for comparison, but they seem fairly tough to me.
