I’m here to show off the album I spent 18 month recording, mixing and performing on. This is an Indie rock /folk album.

Axe fx 2 was used for all electric guitars and for bass guitars on all tracks except, ballad of farmer John, Walk all night, Storm and Valentina. In these cases a real bass amp and cab micd up with a Sontronics Dm1B and Sm57. In the rest of the songs, I took a capture of the Cab and mic configuration and found a model in axe fx that sounded very close to the real amp.

18th month of home recording!
Electric guitars were mostly Fender Telecaster and once or twice a Fender Stratocaster. A Gibson Les Paul Gold top with P90s was used during the last bridge section of California 99, after the line “Black tar River Road”
Acoustic guitar was a Gibson J-45

Drums were recorded in rehearsal space
Bass were recorded in rehearsal and then at home when running through axe fx 2
vocals recorded in living rooms
Percussion recorded in a warehouse
Male choir recorded in a lifeboat station

Daw was logic 10
interface was ua410D and ART twin tube
