If you are looking to import a patch (.syx file) from sharing source, Axe-Change or something from this forum for example, you need to:
Connect your device to your computer via USB, and have the proper Fractal Audio editor running (FX8-Edit for you). Make sure you know where the file you want is on your computer (desktop, downloads, etc) and click Import on the upper left of FX8-Edit. A window will open to select the file to import, navigate to the location where the .syx file is you want to upload and work with, and select it. FX8-Edit will upload the file and you will see it in the editor window. If you like it, save it to a location on your FX8. If not, just navigate to another preset without saving.
I am no expert on the FX8, but this is the process for the Axe Fx and AX8, so I am sure it'll work here too.
