Help needed getting that tone! Lukather 2013 DiMarzio Promo

hi guys,

I've been trying to achieve this tone with my Axe II but can't get close. Notice how the amp responds to the pick attack? Wow. That's what I'm still looking for in my Axe II... that breathing, responsiveness. I assume it's a Bogner Ecstasy in this promo mice'd very well and post processed, but yet... anybody with some hints or patch??

I liked his tone better with the EMGs... just different tastes... and is that a Kemper I see behind him at 5:00... blasphemy !

Yeah thats a tough one! More open sounding, I think he is liking the Andy Timmons tone. Weird how Andy learned from him and now Luke is trying his open sounding pickups. Just a guess..
