Ground control pro question

I'm new to the Axe and looking around here for info on foot controllers. I see the fractal and liquid foot are basically unobtainable at this point. As far as I can tell the GCP looks like it would be good but alot of people around here seem to be holding for the the above mentioned controllers. What is there that these can do that the GCP cannot?

Not as many buttons, doesn't display the presets, and likewise doesn't display the tuner. This is mainly because the GCP is a "send only" device (one way communication). It cannot receive info from the AxeFx. You can still do a lot, presets, IAs, input names (separately), tap tempo, expression pedals, etc.
