There is a whole community out there that love their current amp setup and tend to think that amp modeling isn't good enough for their dubious tastes. They may be right, for themselves anyway... So Fractal releases a floor unit that just includes the amazing effects and switching capabilities of the AxeFx without the amp models... This is the point of the FX8. The only reason I would imagine anyone using an FX8 with an AxefxXL would be to conserve CPU and practice tap dancing..
