Global Block Problem All Settings Zero Out

I am struggling with creating global blocks. I am starting by trying to do a global block for an amplifier but every time i try to save and link with global all the setting go to zero on my amp and i get no sound. Why does it keep defaulting to everything at zero? I thought making global blocks would be simple after reading the manual but it is driving me crazy so far.
 
Are you using axe edit or just the axe fx to make the global blocks? What firmware are you on?
 
Have you tried it with just the axe fx not connected to your computer? I know it's supposed to be fixed in axe edit but I never got it to work.
 
It works without using axe edit. When i load axe edit as soon as i select whatever it is that i have a block being used it goes silent. Very strange. Thank you.
