Getting 2290 Delay to translate in mono mix

So I know that the 2290 delay repeats won’t be heard if collapsed to mono due to the phase reversal on side but…Are there any work arounds for this in a mix? Perhaps there’s a method of routing or changing phase in a DAW that would allow hearing the magic of the 2290 in stereo while also allowing the delay to translate to mono?

You can simply turn the "Right Post Delay" over 0.
You'll have a wonderful stereo image but also the mono repetitions!

You can also turn off the phase reverse, which I think is the common method.

However, this really defeats the magic of the 2290... It's really intended as a stereo effect, I think.
