fractool 3.83 not saving blocks

using my FM9, i'm trying to save a couple blocks in FM3 format but when I select save block and specify FM3, it does not save a file.

Yes Fractool only supports AxeFx III, other gen3 devices support vary... Anyway, exporting a block from Fractool only exports a file supported by fractool, as AxeEdit don't support them...

it prompts for a filename but doesn't save the file to the directory/name specified in the example i showed.
