FM9 recording MIDI

A while ago I used an old Boss GT-100 to record the Wah position of a plugin via MIDI. Is it possible to do this with the FM9?
 
No.

Expression pedals connected to the FM9 or FCs do not generate any outbound midi.

There are midi expression pedals. You could also get something like the AudioFront Expression IO and use that to send expression pedal control to both your FM9 and DAW via midi.
