FM3 Split Mode

Congratulations to FAS on the release of the AM4. In that thread someone mentioned the following:

SPLIT: In Split Mode, the AM4 uses an automatic routing configuration
that sends the full amp-and-cab sound to one side and a “no-cab” signal
to the other. Each output operates in summed mono.

Is anyone aware if/when Split Mode will be implemented into the FM3? I've been wanting this feature ever since the Axe-fx Ultra days and it will make patch creation so much easier being able to run on output to my poweramp/cab and the other to FoH. I can see this for the Axe-fx III being able to have the same output but in stereo!

Use Stereo input mode in the cab block and select the TOTALLY-FLAT factory cab for one side.

Yes, if you need two physical level knobs it will not work. If you don‘t need it you can set the levels for each row in the output block

Re separate level controls for L and R, my workaround is to mount a volume pot to my board (in the small yellow enclosure, below) on one side only (the one I send to my onstage FRFR).

I set the level to FoH using the FM3’s output 1 volume knob, and then I can tweak the FRFR level with the added volume pot, which has a Dunlop ‘Rubber Knob Cover’ so I can tweak it with my foot. I just added this recently, but at the gigs I’ve done since it’s worked perfectly.

Damn, these are all great ideas! Thanks again for all the input. It would still be great to get Split Mode to be able to audition all the hundreds of existing FAS presets. The downside to this would be having to edit every single preset with the left/right trick(s).

I've been using this configuration for "ages".

In the output block you pan the rows hard left and right

This way, you have a signal with cab on the left output and a signal without cab on the right.
And you save a cab slot for the flat IR and thus CPU.
Hi I’m trying this one. But if I leave out 1 balance to the center, and sending the no cab side to the power amp, I still hear a mix of the two signals. I suppose that would stay at center to send both foh and power amp signals from out1.

I’m using an FM3 with a Blackstar dual in the loop (in2 out2) and I would like to send both the cab for foh on say L out1 xlr and power amp signal to out1 R.

What am I missing ? Thanks very much in advance

EDIT... i had OUT1 in L+R mode, setting it to stereo seem to have solved the problem.. thanks anyway

Well, the “trick” ist that you don't leave the balance in the center and pan one signal hard right and the other hard left.
If you don't do that you always hear a mixed signal.
But maybe I didn't understand your problem.

Yes but if I have to send both cab and no cab from out 1, I think it’s right to have balance in the middle. If I pan it, I get only the panned signal (cab or not cab) at out1, at least this is what I’ve experienced.

Anyway I solved just putting out1 to stereo in settings. It was previously in L+R mode, and the signals got mixed at out1

BTW many thanks for your tip and workaround
