FM3 Output 2 to XLR

I recently switched from an AxeFX III to an FM3 Turbo, with the III I would typically run Output 1 XLRs to in-ears and Output 2 XLR to a rack mount amp/speaker cab. My question is should I use a direct box to change the 1/4” Output 2 to XLR to feed my power amp? Or is there a different way to address this?

Does your power amp only support XLR inputs? Most modern ones have a "combi" jack that supports both XLR and TS cables.

There's no need for a DI... You can use TS to TS if your amp allows, or you can go TS to XLR.

The DI box will convert the TS jack to balanced so if you have a long cable run it will help minimise interference.

For short runs just run a TS/XLR cable unbalanced will be fine.

If you're not running stereo can run left to in-ears and right to amp, and just set FM3 to copy L>R - only one volume control on unit if you do this
