FM3 Looper - How to erase the loop without FM3-edit?

I've been looking at the looper on my FM3.
It's got record, play/stop, reverse etc etc ... all except erase.
The only way I've been able to delete a loop is using the FM3-Edit which has an erase.
I have an external swtich and wanted to have switch 1 to record and erase (on press down hold) and switch 2 play and stop.
I managed to get Record on switch 1 and play/stop on switch 2 but I cannot find the erase option.
Has anyone been able to do this?
Where is the erase option?

while the loop is not playing, press Undo. it's called Undo/Erase in the switch assignments.
