FM3-Edit and Fractal-Bot fail communication with FM3

Hi Everyone,

I am thrilled about the FM3 but have the following problem:
FM3 Edit attempt to connect with FM3 over USB:
Communication time-out:
Unable to complete the following communication
Request: Query device version: query_sys_info

FM3 has 390 presets loaded and usable on the FM3, none of those presets show up in FM3 Edit.

macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65) on an iMac
FM3 Firmware 1.03 Built Apr7 2020
FM3Edit version 1.01.03

Attempted to update firmware with Fractal-Bot but Fractal-Bot for Input and Output ports only displays: /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port
I also booted the FM3 to the Emergency Boot Loader and ran the DDR test which passed.
FM3-Edit and Fractal-Bot do not seem to recognize the FM3
Any ideas?

Ok I installed FM3Edit 1.01.02 and the exact same issues still occur. Thanks, 'still investigating

I have zero communication issues on an iMac with Catalina. Don’t know about High Sierra. Try a different USB cable?

this may be dumb response but make sure no other app is running thats accessing the unit i.e. fm3 edit as if the usb port is in use you'll get as similar dialog in windows,

I got this on Windows 10 yesterday as well after reconnecting USB. I had to power cycle the FM3 to clear it up.

Happening to me on Win 10. FM3 Edit preset names are botched, can't roll back firmware because Fractal Bot says it's connected but always times out without sending or receiving. FM3 is at 1.04 b6, FM3 Edit was at 1.01.03
