FM3 as a D.I question

Hi,

I'd like to use the Fm3 as a D.I only for my guitar.

The fm3 is used as the usb audio interface for my DAW.

I'm on the bypass preset, I created a mono track in my Daw
with a plugin on it (I know I could use a saturated preset from the Fm3
but for once I'm trying something).

My problem is I hear the Dry D.I direct signal from the fm3 mixed with
the same signal, but wet, passing through the plug-in (what I want to hear).

Please is there any way to get rid of the D.I signal in monitoring while I record
my track, a mono guitar track?

Thanks

Use USB Inputs 3 and/or 4 to capture the direct guitar signal. No blocks on the grid are needed for that so you won't hear the DI track at all that way if you've got input monitoring turned off on the track in your DAW.

That may not quite do what you want. If you're just using the FM3 as an audio interface, yes, use channels 3/4. However, if you have anything in your grid, you'll still hear the grid output mixed with your monitored DAW output. A better way to do it is to mute Output 1. That way you don't need to use a special preset for this purpose. See the "Monitor Through DAW" topic in the recording guide.

Hello Glenno, that's good to know, thanks
for the link ( should have had the patience to look further in the guide...)

That was an instant reply and fix...thanks to both of you
