Is there any reason Fractal didn't put a handful of effects loops in the foot controllers? I feel like that would be a relatively easy way to take an edge away from the Helix. Incorporate 3-4 of your favorite pedals with the Axe FX system?

Because that would then require a lot of extra hardware, DAC’s etc. Would probably add several hundred dollars to the cost easily.

the FC’s are designed to just work as a controller, self powered over a single cable.

you can easily add pedals to the loops on the III and have the FC engage the pedals
