external tap tempo

I'm trying to set up an external tap with the mfc. Can anyone help explain this to me?

I dont have an mfc but on my fcb1010 it works as follows: a momentary switch should send control change nr 14 with value 127 over channel 1 when it is pressed. Hope this helps and that Mfc owners tune in.
