Expression pedal calibration

I just got a Hotone Soul Press to use as an expression pedal with the AX8.

When I go to calibrate the pedal, the maximum value it's reaching with the toe fully down is 91% (is this normal for this pedal?).

At the moment when trying a whammy effect, because it's not going all the way to 100%, I can't quite get to the full octave.

How do I configure things like a whammy effect so that I can get there?

That's what Calibration does - notes the physical limits of the pedal travel and translates it so modifiers reach the full range.

After calibrating, does your whammy work?

It does work - it just doesn't quite get to 100%, so if I'm using an octave up it's not quite getting there.

Is there anything I can do to make it so that 91% is actually 100%? If you see what I'm trying to say...

That's what calibration should do. You pressed enter before and after you moved the pedal when in the calibration screen, right?

I did.

When calibrating the pedal the minimum value is 0.00 with the heel down (as it should be) and with the toe fully down the maximum value is 0.91, and it goes no further.

Not sure if it's the same issue or not, but it's possible that the Pot is too small for a full calibration:

@Joe Rogers might be able to validate for you: http://www.hotoneaudio.com/products/press/Volume_Expression_Wah_Wah_Pedal/75.html

The calibration screen always shows the raw output of your pedal, not the calibrated output.

I see no spec for the load in Expression mode. The AX8 supports 10k - 100k Ohms. The OP describes the raw values displaying 0 - 0.91 which should be more than enough to calibrate correctly.

If the little ball (on the modifier graph) is spanning the whole graph, then I would try increasing the scale of the modifier by 0.2, and see if that fixes the whammy.
