I have a ground control pro, axe fx ultra, and ernie ball 6167 stereo volume pedal. I want to use the volume pedal as an expression pedal. I assume this is possible, but I've heard some people have had issues with the sweep of the pedal, like it only has an effect for 5% of the sweep. Can anyone comment on this? If it is only 5% of the sweep, aren't there parameters in the axe that can make this more acceptable? Sorry, I haven't messed around with expression pedals yet.
Also, since the pedal is stereo, it has a left and right input, as well as a left and right output. How should I connect this to the ground control pro? A 1/4" y cable that has a TRS that connects to the GCP and two TS that each go to the left (mono) input and output of the volume pedal? If so, any recommendations on a cable?
Just to clarify: the GCP has expression pedal inputs, so I assume I can control the axe using these inputs...?
