EQ Boost for solos...whatcha got?

What do you all set things for Boost if you use EQ for BOOST like me? PEQ or GEQ? Placement?

Marco Fanton uses a volume block after the cab near end of chain
For leads you are generally going to want 3 to 5db in my experience

You could also use para Q lots of guys boost 850 to 1250 range
If you want more / less pick attack Cooper Carter has a great tutorial on that it’s a video called live settings

Me too.

Used to use 4.5dB, but have been digging 3.5dB lately.

Hmmm....
Will have to experiment with a PEQ or Filter to boost after the amp, to see the difference in flavor of boosting with just the mids vs. full-range. Seems like it could be a different flavor that would maybe work better with some sounds....

PEQ, in case i want to boost or cut something, but I rarely do, usually 3.5 db.

Right now I'm just using a Filter block after the Amp. I previously used the PEQ and was doing some mid boosting as well, but felt like it was too much.

i use a control switch to change the level of the amp block 4db up.

Null filter block 4db before the output block at the end of the chain.
