I just received my AX8 and love it. One observation I have made is that going direct into the front of my clean guitar amp with everything bypassed in the AX8 but the drive block sound awesome. It could be my imagination but I feel like the drives from the AX8 going into a real amp sound better than from my Axe FX. Anyone else notice this?

The blocks are identical. Maybe you're running the output of the AX8 hotter than the AFII?

That must be it, I have the output on the AX8 pretty much all the way up to sound the same level as my guitar straight into the front of the amp. Whatever the reason, it sounds fantastic!
