I know this can be done via the analogue i/o, but I'd really love to be able to insert digital gear as an effects block without round-tripping the audio through extra a/d/a. I guess that would actually wind up being a/d/a/d/a/d/a: from guitar to ears using digital gear as an effects block with the current setup.
Is there any reason why this would not be feasible in a FW update?
(As it is I think you can already send the FX Loop block outputs to the computer via usb... so it seems that the FX Loop block is already routing audio in the digital domain.)
