CLR: Active vs. Passive

Has anyone done a side by side test between the CLR active and passive cabs?

I already own both a Matrix GT1000FX and an Atomic Reactor 50/50. Would I be better running a passive CLR with one of these or is the active version significantly better in any respect?

Mind you, that's about the wedges, not the cabs. Seems like the onboard DSP on the active wedge does something extra to compensate for placement, but I don't know whether something similar is in place for the CLR cabs.
