Carvin TS100 Changing to 6l6's

Got a mint TS100 power amp I'm using with my Axe FX III.

If I remember correctly the last time I opened it, has Groove Tube EL34's plus chinese preamp.

I believe these to be original and I would like to change power tubes to 6l6's.

I'd like to know if I'm going to hear any noticeable differences?

If it was designed for EL34s then you're not going to want to run 6L6s in it. Different output transformer primary impedance. Have you tried 6CA7s?

But it can run 6l6's which is why I asked.

I know the buying option was you could get it with EL34's or 6L6. Searching the web look like you can swap and bias. you can also run 6L6 on one side and 34's on the other.

I've looked at all the spec's on this unit, plus built a couple amps, so I know it can handle 6l6's.

My question is.......am I wasting money switching over?

Being there's very few people who own this amp....I'm not expecting much feedback, but figured I's ask.

I ran mine with el34's but that was my personal
preference
Its a relatively neutral tube power amp and a pretty good one if you go that route
