Can I edit my posts?

I've looked hard to find out how to edit may posts (OPs), with no luck. FAQs say look for the pencil icon, but its not there. Sorry if the answer is obvious - just its not to me .

Yes, for a time. There is an amount of time (not sure how long) after which there is no longer an option. The pencil icon and word Edit is on the lower right edge of the post window, by where Reply and Reply With Quote area is.

For a briefer period, you can also delete posts that you might find are unnecessary after posting. You have to go to edit, then "Go Advanced" and the option will be at the top.

It's three days or less. I was just going to ask about this, as I noticed something I posted three days ago I could no longer alter.
