Can external midi controller pedals be calibrated in the III?

I'm using a 3rd party midi floor controller that has two built-in expression pedals. These never reach 100% on the III when assigned as a modifier, and also don't increase linearly when swept from heel- to toe-down. I know, I should get FAS controllers and expression pedals but in the meantime is it possible to calibrate these on the III? I can only find in the setup menu a tab for calibrating the external pedals plugged into Pedal 1 and 2 inputs on the rear of the unit.

As an aside, I used the same 3rd party floorboard with my II XL and the range was reaching out 100% (whereas it doesn't on the III), hence my question?

Nope.

That would be something your midi controller would handle.

Were you using the MFC with Axe Fx II? It also has calibration...

You can adjust the scale of the modifier and otherwise control the "shape" but doing that in multiple places in multiple presets will be a pain.

I have a pedal that only goes half way up the scale. I’m surprised the pedal calibration function doesn’t compensate for that.
Edit: it’s not via midi cable though.

Are you using a TRS cable and is the polarity of the pedal correct? Fractal uses the Boss/Roland type polarity of tip to wiper.

Not sure yet. I’ve been meaning to measure the pot in it.

I don’t recall offhand, but it’s cheap and old from my Zoom 505 days
My new cheap pedal works fine.
