can an axe fx ii into a mackie hd 1221 pull off a local gig by itself?

Got a show coming up in a small house like show. Wondering if itll sound fine if I just go this route.

I know it can go loud enough. Should I have the axe fx on high volume and have the speaker lower or visa versa for control of tone?

I would run the wedge half way up and use the volume on the axe. Misha used the same wedge on tour with his axe with Periphery, so I think it will work.
 
Tosin Abasi also used (or still does) use the Mackie HD in his backline I believe.

I'd keep the wedge at a manageable volume when your Axe is set at 12 o'clock, then adjust on the front of the Axe from there.
