Cab Block, link on and off switch

Can someone explain to me exactly what this switch does. I see it only shows up running a stereo cab. I see some of the new presets released for Q 8 have the switch on and some have it off. I've never used it and not sure what it's for.

it links the Left and Right sides of the Stereo cab so they are the exact same when linked and changes are made.

Only when changes are made to the Left (upper) cab... At least in Axe Edit.
