I have been tweaking on a preset I created using the Brit Brown amp block. It had what I was assuming too much gain as it had a harsh, kind of fizzy tone. I kept adjusting gain, master volume, treble, etc. with no luck. Then I noticed the bright switch was set to on by default and remembered reading that one of the first mods everyone used to do to the original tube plexi amps was to clip the bright cap. So I turned off the bright switch and VOILA! instant tone heaven! I tweaked the eq a little more and the gain and master volume to get it just right and it is perfect. Fractal Audio never ceases to amaze me how accurate the amp blocks are in this incredible device. @FractalAudio well done sir!
